my commercial cassingle issued as ichiban 232 does not state a version nor run time on either the sleeve or cassingle itself but runs 3:29 and is identical to the version from the first cd single listed below.....

ichiban cd 232
1-no listing or description on the cd single (actual run time is 3:29)

i also have a promo cd singles as well with the details listed below

rdj-64243-2 (from the dumb and dumber soundtrack)
1-new age girl (radio version) (listed 3:17; actual 3:17)
2-new age girl (boneless mix) (listed 3:17; actual 3:17)

this info s/b added to the db

It took me years to track this down on 45 (and now it may be years before i find what box i've put it in). From memory, I do believe the label does specify a version (probably radio version), and the 45 is identical to the version i heard on the radio growing up in the 90s.
Live in stereo.

My 45 does not specify a version and is identical to the LP version.

On the Dumb And Dumber soundtrack, the song is missing the opening drumstick taps.

There are no opening drumstick taps during the intro of Deadeye Dick's "New Age Girl" on the 90s Now Volume 3 CD (K-Tel 3850) either.

The song was first released on the Deadeye Dick A Different Story CD (Ichiban 6501) and thus I would consider it to be the true parent CD/LP of "New Age Girl". (The Dumb and Dumber soundtrack didn't come out until roughly six months later.)

Therefore, it appears all database CD appearances running 3:26 are missing the opening drumstick taps found on the single and album version.

I thought I'd bump this up since I've modified some information in my previous post.
