Haven't they been teasing this release for the last five years? OK, maybe not quite five, but I seem to recall hearing about it years ago. How long can it possibly take to transfer the tapes and get the discs pressed up?

The updated release date is now June 2nd, 2023. If it does
indeed get released in June it will be an entire year since
some collectors placed their pre-order.

Did anyone get this yet? Did it come out?

I was looking for the alternate "My Eyes Adored You" which
I heard on a Barry Scott show.

From what I've read "My Eyes Adored You" was a song the Seasons and Frankie first worked on and recorded while on the Motown label.

When they left the label, they recorded the ballad again and of course the rest is history. That earlier version they recorded while on Motown was finally released on CD on that massive box set (see Disc 22 listed above).

Barry Scott does play alternate takes, demos and unreleased versions on his syndicated show. Good chance the alternate you heard Andy was from this massive box set (and yes it was finally released).

I've heard Barry say several times on his show that he has gotten these rarities directly from the artist(s) once he has interviewed them.

One oddity I heard Barry play once was a version of "Gone At Last" with Bette Midler singing with Paul Simon (instead of Phoebe Snow).

Thanks for letting me hear the full version, Santi!

It is pretty much the same take with the last vamp lyrics
that are edited out on the Private Stock 45.
