   Original 45s of "I Wonder Why" by Dion & The Belmonts seem 

to run 2:19.5 like the longest CD versions.  They feature a 

very long, very quiet fade which is truncated the shorter 

versions that I've checked.  I'm comparing this to a 45 dub 

on an old Usenet archive, so please feel free to chime in 

with your own timings, but turn that ending up LOUD to hear 

the final notes.
