my commercial 45 issued as mca/carousel 51025 contains a non described version with a listed run time of 3:41 and indeed does run that length...the 45 is identical to the version below....

(S) (3:41) Rhino 71894 Radio Daze: Pop Hits Of The 80's Volume Five

Interesting, apparently MCA picked up distribution of this at some point in the song's chart run.

I notice that the writing credits on both versions of the "Ah! Leah!" 45 use the original spelling of Iris' last name, "Ierace". On Ed's scans of Iris' other two hits, the writing credit is spelled "Iris".

Also, all three of these songs were produced and co-written by Mark Avsec. Avsec was a member of the group Wild Cherry, of "Play That Funky Music" fame. IINM, Iris was also in that group for a time in the late '70s, although he didn't join until after "Play That Funky Music".

The reason the writer credit goes to D. Ierace is because Donnie Iris was born Domenic Ierace. There's the reasoning for that....those songs must've been reigstered under his birth name and not his stage name.
Live in stereo.
