aaron....once again you are right on target...my commercial 45 contains the drop out at the 0:42 mark as well.....so the 45 is identical to all the 4:08 45 versions in the db......pat, you should mention that the commercial 45 also contains this drop out.....

I don't have a stock 45 to compare but I'm pretty sure it's sped up. I recall getting the
remix promo (which I still have) and thinking that speeding it up was ALL they did with it, and possibly they added some more clipping to it. I just made a comparision. In Adobe Audition, using Elton John's Greatest Hits CD 1974-1986, speed it up by 1.7%, and the result matches the alleged remix speed/pitch. Edited by Bill Cahill |
