Falco "Jeanny" [English Version]

Third single off "Falco 3" and the follow up to his Top 20 hit "Vienna Calling".

With all the Falco ad-nauseum reissues, I am still shocked that the 'English single version' (actual name: 'English Version Special Radio Edit') has yet to be issued on CD format.

Yes, the song is rather disturbing, but it's also brilliant. Frustratingly, even though Falco 'raps' on both the original German single version and English single version, the English lyrics ARE NOT a direct translation. Not counting the chorus, sung in English on all versions, only the 'Newsflash' middle eight is a direct translation.

As far as I know the English Version Special Radio Edit has yet to be issued outside of the vinyl maxi / vinyl single, although the English Extended Version is widely available on CD format.

Curiously, an Argentine released a Spanish version of the song; it's a direct translation.
