I think I stumbled on another error in the database.
I have the CD "Ray Parker Jr.'s Greatest Hits" (Arista 18732), and it's listed in the database, but only lists his solo hits. However, it also contains his Raydio hits. When I look up any of the Raydio hits, there's a separate "Greatest Hits" listed (Arista 18737) in the database. By googling that label#, I found it actually belongs to a various artist CD titled "No Alternative". I believe that a typo might be to blame for this confusion. |

This was indeed a typo as the 18737 catalog number should have been entered as 18732. Database has been corrected.

Just a note, there was never an actual recording band called Raydio. It was always Ray Parker Jr. and a couple of friends helping him out, just like what Prince did, and sometimes, what Paul McCartney did. So, all those Raydio songs are accurately described as Ray Parker Jr solo hits. |
