Beware of Alan Dale CD with re-recordings

   I purchased an Alan Dale CD not currently listed in the database called Sweet and Gentle Crooner released on Collectors' Choice.  Although Collectors' Choice is usually a highly reputable and reliable label, I want to warn anyone interested in obtaining the original hit versions of Alan Dale's Top 40 singles on CD to avoid picking up this disc because it consists of stereo re-recordings that are clearly mastered from scratchy vinyl sources.  Here's a summary of the two Top 40 hits appearing on this CD:

1955 - CHERRY PINK (AND APPLE BLOSSOM WHITE)
