anyone know where i can find the cd compilation album
titled "every song tells a story".....it was apparently issued in 1995 on the phonogram label.......i believe it contains the 45 version of clarence clemons & jackson browne's hit "you're a friend of mine" that runs 4:12 in length.........can anyone confirm this? Edited by edtop40 |

Nothing like continuing a 16 year old thread :)
I was just about to try and make the 45 edit from the 4:50 version. All I have to go off of is what appears to be the single edit on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0nyTNdkq8U). It lines up perfectly until around the 4 minute mark, where the single appears to bring the sax out sooner - so there's an edit in there, it's not just an early fade, but I don't have the official 45 to compare it to. Anyone have any insight on this one? |

Perhaps Ron Gerber can go into more detail, but there
appear to be two edits. One at 3:52 and one at 3:58. |

After you make the edits, you'll have edit points at 3:52 and 3:58, but I don't have my notes on how much to delete. You should be able to edit this one from knowing the approximate edit points and the YouTube clip. I think this was pretty straightforward, as edits go.

There's a lot of crap on the radio, but there's only one Crap From The Past.
