the first tune I heard was a re-recording of Patches by Dickey Lee. Not exactly promising.... GM |

True, but the page says "50s and Early 60s Rock N Roll
Hits." I wonder why they feel the need to include early 60s tunes for that's when the 50s sound really started to change? GM Edited by Gary Mack |

They do the same thing on SiriusXM's "50s on 5". I think it's because rock-n-roll "officially" began when "Rock Around The Clock" hit #1 in 1955. Therefore, in order for it to be a "decade" channel, it needs to include ten years. And that stretches it till about 1964. Which I can see to some extent, as that's when the Beatles invaded and rock really changed.
