Stalled at #41 nationally but I heard it a lot in the NY
area, and bought the 45. It did make the database and seems only the LP version has ever been on CD so I'll post the simple editing instructions to make the 45 version. LP version runs about (4:52) while the 45 has a listed (3:48) and an actual (3:49). It's 2 edits and an early fade. My edit uses the parent album / soundtrack CD. The edits shorten the choruses by half. First cut from 1:18 - 1:40. The edit is on the snare/clap beat just after the words "wonder why in LA". Then in that file cut 3:16 - 3:38. This edit is on the snare beat just before the words "...to live and die in LA". Then create a quick fade from 3:41 to 3:49. It's almost gone by 3:48, but the last faint audio is at 3:49. MM |
