There are numerous remixes of this song, which was inescapable in 2013 (and I guess in part of 2012 as well). I am focusing on the standard hit mix, which was listed as 2:37.
At least two versions have been released. One is the album version, which includes the line "I threw your sh*t into a bag and pushed it down the stairs." Obviously this version was never played on the radio, at least not in the US. The second is what I'll call the "very clean version," which appears on Now 47 (actual time 2:33 per my digital file taken from the physical CD). This has the word "sh*t" replaced by "stuff"; it also has the line in the bridge "You're from the seventies, but I'm a 90s bitch" with the word "bitch" replaced by "chick". However, I seem to recall an interim version, with the censored "sh*t" but retaining "90s bitch". I feel 99 44/100 percent certain that the word "bitch" hadn't been replaced the first time I heard this on the radio. I honestly thought that the "chick" version had been done exclusively for Clear Channel stations, because that's the only place I heard it until I discovered the "chick" version on Now 47. To me, this seemed like a pointless change, as after all, Elton John, Neil Sedaka, Daryl Hall & John Oates, and Meredith Brooks all used the word (although, apparently, it was OK to be a bitch, but not a son of a bitch, per the Charlie Daniels Band). So am I dreaming this, or was there a "clean-ish" version that I swear I heard on the radio? And if so, where can I find this? Edited by TimNeely |

The only two versions I know of are the one's you cited. The clean and the explicit. I don't think anything was released to radio that kept the word bitch and edited the curse words. Anything with bitch (Halsey's Bad At Love lyrics for example: He's calling me a bitch again) is generally edited on purpose.
Could be possible someone did an in-house edit. Generally the NOW versions are what played on radio, with a few exceptions. Edited by PopArchivist |

Favorite two expressions to live by on this board: "You can't download vinyl" and "Not everything is available on CD."
