My commercial 45, which is mono, has a listed time of (3:30), but an actual time of (3:27). All current listed CDs in the database for this song are stereo, and one has a running time of (3:22). But all of the others run between (3:17) and (3:19). All of these CD versions run between :05 and :10 seconds shorter than my 45 does.

I'm wondering if this could be an instance where the LP length is shorter than the 45 length. Does anyone have Donovan's Barabajagal vinyl LP from 1969 who can inform us of the song's actual run time on that LP?

I checked my Barabajagal vinyl lp and the length of the title song is approximately 3:19. My mono 45 which is a promo copy runs 3:27. So, it appears that the lp length is indeed shorter than the 45.

Just adding that the 45 is a dedicated mix. It contains a
lot of reverb not found on the LP version. MM |
