By now some of you have probably seen the Rhino site offering the latest regurgitation (this has to be 5 or 6 in the last year and a half)of the Doors catalog, with a release date of 1/29/08, titled, "The Future Starts Here: The Essential Doors Hits", giving hope that FINALLY 45 versions of the Doors will be on CD. At no place in the advertisement does it refer to 45 versions, lengths, or edits. Still, it is a single-disc offering 20 songs.
If anyone on the board has any more insight to this release, please share. Otherwise we'll wait until 1/29. |

The Rhino website blurb mentions it's the "40th Anniversary Bruce Botnick remixes" & contains an edit of "The End".

I just read the blurb. If anyone finds out if the single version of "Touch Me" was used (or used as the basis for Botnick's remix), please report back here.
