My promo CD single (CSK 1695) has the following:

1-(Single Version) (listed 3:58; actual 4:04)
2-(Album Version) (listed & actual 3:54)

According to abagon, the actual commercial 45 run time of Warrant's "Heaven" is 4:04, not 3:58 as stated on the record label. This looks to be identical to Track 1 on Jim's promo CD single.

How is it that the single version is actually longer? Is it a different mix?

It's a different mix. It was "punched up" by Michael H. Brauer, who remixed a lot of the CBS 45s in the late '80s/early '90s.

It's longer because there's an ending keyboard trail on the single that's not on the album version.

Also, the first verse vocal was re-recorded (better inflection on the single version).

I thought I remembered the vocals sounding different. Now I have to figure out which version I have.

What CDs have the remixed single version, if any?

my commercial cassingle issued as columbia 68986 does not state a run time or version on the sleeve but it is a remix and i found the proper single version on the import cd single listed below.....the cassingle runs 4:04

i do not have the commercial 45 to compare it's contents...
