my commercial 45 for the bee gees song "boogie child" issued as rso 867 lists the run time as 3:30 and does indeed run that length and is an edit of the full length 4:11 cd/lp version......this 45 run time should be added to the db....thanks to aaron for re-creating the 45 version....

ed: at the end of the song, in the mono mix "Mr. Jones" is sung in full
whereas in the stereo mix, the vocal ends before the full "Mr. Jones" is sung; also the mono mix has reverb on the vocal that is not present in the stereo mix |

I made a 45 edit of Boogie Child many years ago. Strange
how the 45 edit never showed up on any CD comps. |

The LP version runs 4:09 on the fantastic 4-CD Tales From The Brothers Gibb (1990).
To create the 45 edit, first remove the 8 beats from 3:22.1 to 3:27.0. Then, fade for 24 beats from 3:17.2 to 3:31.8. (Aaron's recreation runs about 2 beats shorter, but I like to begin and end my fades on 8/16/24 beat points.) You'll need to do this recreation in the order I specified, because the edit falls within the faded portion. Edited by crapfromthepast |

There's a lot of crap on the radio, but there's only one Crap From The Past.
