Does anyone have any info on Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks?" I see that a radio edit shows up in a google search but I have not been able to locate a copy. I have also discovered that MTVU censored the song to remove the "gun" references. Does anyone have a copy of this version?

The radio edit does not edit any of the lyrical content. It only shortens the song by about 25 seconds (run time is 3:40). After the short drum intro, the next 8 measures of music are edited out (shortening the intro by 14 seconds). Also, one of the end choruses (after the beat kicks back in) is edited out (repeats only twice instead of three times).

I'm a bit surprised to see this on the Hot AC charts given the subject matter. Melodically it fits well though.

Or can anyone send me the radio edit? I have not been able to locate a promo anywhere. I recorded MTVU for 12 hours last night and of course they just kept playing the same couple videos over and over and over and over and over.........

Today I heard an AC station (WMJX, aka "Magic 106.7", in Boston) playing an edited version of this -- first time I'd heard it on the radio. Every time the words "gun" and "bullet" appear in the song, they are faded either to a very low level, or completely out, and a drumbeat or some similar sound is inserted prominently into the song at that point.

Our local Hot AC (coincidentally also calling itself "Magic") seems t be pitching this way up compared to anywhere else I've heard it. No content edits though.
