I recently purchased a sealed copy of an Annette Funicello compilation CD on eBay called Annette's Scrapbook - The 31 Greatest Hits of Annette. I received it last week and noticed that the CD's front insert and paper tray appears to have been printed on a laser or ink jet printer. Therefore, I'm suspicious that I may have some kind of bootleg or "gray area" disc on my hands. Yet for all I know, it could be legitimate.
Pat, I notice you list this CD title in the database. I'm curious... Does your copy look like an authentic record label manufactured CD, or does it match the description of mine above? I ask because I haven't been able to locate this CD on amazon.com or any other popular retail website. Any information on this Annette's Scapbook disc would be very much appreciated as I contemplate my decision on whether to open my copy or return it. Thanks! |

I have had this cd for quite a while so I do not recall the source that I purchased it from but I do not list bootleg cd's in the database. I agree that the front insert looks like a copy but the tray card is the typical heavy slick stock with perforations that would be hard to run through a laser printer. The cd itself does not have paste on artwork. Hope this helps.
