OK, I'm completely confused (so what else is new?).

I have two versions of this--one that runs (3:48) and starts with music instead of a drum track and long synth
note (and it also has the "boogie woogie woogie" vocals following the "it's electric!" lyrics). The other is
the 9/8/89 Hitmakers version that Ron has labeled as the non-hit 1983 version (that runs (3:57)). And there's
still another version that runs (4:02).

So my first question is: what is the first version I have? Second question is: does the version that runs
(4:02) sound like the one posted in this YT link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY8H0KrwDlE

All this for a song that only reached #51 at Billboard in 1990. :)

The hit version from 1990 is the one in the video link, which starts with a whole lot of people saying "It's electric!"

I don't know why Hitmakers chose to send out the non-hit 1983 version in 1989. That one has an instrumental intro, with vocals that start at 0:22. It's a much lower-energy production than the hit version.
There's a lot of crap on the radio, but there's only one Crap From The Past.

Thx, Ron.

So anybody know what the first version I have is (the one with the (3:48) run time and the "boogie woogie
woogie" vocals in the first verse)?
