For this song, the DB shows a 45 length (3:18-3:19), LP length (3:38-3:40), and "neither" (4:31). Can anyone familiar with this one say what
the differences are? Is the 45 just a straight edit of the LP version or are there other differences between the single and album versions?
And what is the "neither" version? Thank you in advance.

The single simply fades about 20 seconds earlier than the LP. This longer
version is new to me! I've found it (I think) on YouTube and it has a longer
beginning section, i.e., before the "heavier" sound starts at about 0:52 (of the
LP/45).

I have not determined the exact differences as yet, but I could tell right away
at 0:31 the longer version is different.

The long version is on the remastered version of his first album. My original US Lp had what I though was the long LP version until I bought the remastered CD and heard this longer version. It adds a extra verse in the beginning of the track before the first chorus.

Database CDs show LP times of Burton Cummings' "Stand Tall" running between 3:38 to 3:43. Someone has uploaded a vinyl LP rip of the song on YouTube, and the actual LP run time clocks in slightly longer at 3:45. I realize, of course, that we need to exercise caution with accepting run times based on YouTube videos because we can't be certain that the turntable being used is properly calibrated to playback at the correct speed. For what it's worth, according to the Discogs website, the printed run time for "Stand Tall" on all vinyl LP pressings is 3:43. Does anyone have a copy of this LP who can listen and report the song's actual run time for us?

Meanwhile, I can confirm that the actual commercial 45 run time for "Stand Tall" is 3:19 (printed time: 3:20). This is pretty much in line with the all database CDs containing the 45 length.

If nobody beats me to it, I do have the vinyl LP at storage. I can pull it out and time it.
