Hey all,

some researching led me to a Michael Jackson fan site the lists ALL known remixes of his songs. According to the site, it says that there was a "long" version of "Come Together" on the B-side of "Remember the Time." I assume it means a vinyl 45? Because I've never seen a CD single that has come together as an extra track. Can anyone verify this information, and also, if you have it, could you be so kind as to list the running time for "Come Together" and describe if there are any differences from the version that eventually landed on the History CD? Thanks.

The US 7" of Remember The Time featured a remix of Black Or White. No US 7" had Come Together as a b-side that I know of....

I think "Come Together" was only the B-side on the import CD singles of "Remember the Time." I've never bothered to compare it with what ended up on History. I'll see if I can't tomorrow morning.

I'm not aware of "Come Together" being released on any US single or compilation of Michael Jackson's, other than on the "Moonwalker" home video release.

All right, I finally got around to checking this out, Budaniel. You're right -- the version on the "Remember the Time" import CD maxi single runs almost a minute and a half longer than the "History" version. The shorter version is simply an early fade of the longer one.

I do wonder if the shorter version was used on the British 45, but I haven't been able to find out.

I'm pretty excited. I ordered a copy of the import single the other day, so it should be arriving any day now. I can't believe they edited for inclusion on the album.

Got my single today, and I'm sure glad I stumbled upon info about the longer version. A whole lot of "come together" was left out of the album version! Plus, this import maxi has a full length version of a "remember the time" remix that was an edit on the domestic single.

Speaking of "Remember The Time"... I was curious which version of "Black Or White" was on the flipside of the 45!

The cassingle unquestionably contained the Clivilles & Cole Radio Mix, but the 45 label states that it contains the Underground Club Mix running an abbreviated 3:33 (and the same length of the aforementioned Radio Mix). On the CD maxi, the Underground Club Mix runs around 7:30.

I owned the cassette but swear I recall a 7" jukebox that played the same Clivilles & Cole Radio Mix, not the completely different Underground Club Mix version. Anyone armed with a copy who can clarify?

Good memory - I have the 45 in your picture (Epic
74200), and it does have the Clivilles & Cole Mix of
Black or White, not the Underground Club mix.
