Just out of curiosity, any chance the 45 of this can be extracted from the LP (I don't think I've ever heard the 45 version--even when it was a top-40 hit in 1978)?

Yes, the 45 is an edit of the LP version. I'll send you a copy of my 45 recreation.

Thank you, kind sir.

While I'm at it, what's the correct 45 length for "FM"?

Thanks. I had almost forgotten about it. I'm surprised they didn't trim more out...this is still pretty long for a 45.

yup...6:40 is long for a single...........most amazing thing about this tune is the fade out.........it's about :45 long...........and really fades out so you can barely hear it at the end........

Shame on me for not thanking you for sending me the file. As Ed said, nice job and major thanks as well.

Roscoe,

I would love to have your edit of 'Deacon Blues'. Pls send me one. I also
wondered if 'Josie' is also an LP fade or is it an edit?

the 45 of josie runs 4:30 and is identical to the cd/lp version.........it is not an edit or early fade.........edtop40
