I was comparing my old scratchy 45 to the LP version from the CD
Greatest Hits (Curb 77683), and, to my ears, it sounds as though the 45 version is just an early fade of the LP version. Is this accurate? I understand Pat Downey judges some 45 versions to not just be 45 lengths because the songs will have extra verses or significant segments. But I just want to know if fading "Hot Line" to a 3:00 length will do it, or is there a mix difference? |

Paul I have changed the designation in the database to "length" rather than "version" as you can simply fade the album to obtain the 45 and there are no significant extra verses on the album.
