Ed, we got in two different promo CD singles in for this song back in 1990, and here are the details:
Bad English-"Price Of Love" (ESK 73094) 1-Remix Edit (listed 4:30; actual 4:25) ** 2-Remix (listed 4:46; actual 4:38) Bad English-"Price Of Love" (ESK 1945) 1-Band Remix Edit (listed 4:38; actual 4:37) ** Ed, the version we played on-air as a current To me, the "Band Remix Edit" sounds like a slightly hotter mix than Track 2 of the ESK 73094 promo, but just to be sure, I'll soon shoot both versions out to "His Sonic-Ness", Mr. Aaron K, for his expert opinion. |

I won't claim the title of "expert," but there are mix differences between the two. The "Remix" and "Band Remix Edit" are the same performance and have the same instrumentation. There are slight differences in placement of instruments, levels, and amount of reverb. The "Band Remix Edit" certainly has more reverb on the percussion, and the percussion is brought forward in the mix, which could potentially be why Jim was saying it was a "hotter mix." I wouldn't necessarily call it "hotter," but just slightly different.

Which is the cassette single version? The "remix" or the "band remix
edit"? |

Based on Ed's post above, the cassette single has the "Remix." I think the "Band Remix Edit" was promo only and not released anywhere else.
