I'm just wondering what is the official LP length of Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine's "1-2-3"? In the 10th edition, the song appears on three different CD releases of Let It Loose, running (3:28) on Epic 40769 and Epic/Legacy 64680, and (3:41) on Epic/Legacy 65606. I notice the 3:41 version has the comment (LP length) next to it, but there no comments for the 3:28 length. Does this mean the song ran 3:41 on the original vinyl LP and the 3:28 version fades early? Meanwhile, how long does the 45 run? Joel Whitburn has the time listed at 3:36 in Pop Annual.

Ooops, you just uncovered a big typo in the 10th edition Todd. First, to answer your question, the single 1-2-3 states a running time of 3:36 but runs 3:33. Now, there is a typo for the running time that appears on the Epic 65606 three pack of cd's that should read 3:28 not 3:41 (which is the running time of the song "Anything For You"). The 45 is a remix and the version that is found on the Greatest Hits cd is really the 45 version (referred to in the 10th edition as just "remix"). All other versions on cd are the LP version not LP length, running 3:28.

paul....here's your answer..........the song "1-2-3" by gloria estefan & the miami sound machine that is on the 45 is the "remix version" that runs 3:34 in length......i have the japan version of her greatest hits and the version on that cd is identical to the 45 version........i believe the usa greatest hits version is the remix, too.....BUT........i cannot confirm i because i don't own it..........the version that is on the lp/cd "let it loose" runs 3:28 and is completely different than the greatest hits version.........the difference between the two versions (besides the remix) is that the 45 starts off with the vocals "1, 2, 3, 4, come on baby..." and the cd version from "let it loose" starts with a synth riff...........hope this helps...
