"The Love We Had..." - Dells

   All CD appearances for The Dells' "The Love We Had (Stays on My Mind)" run 4:47-4:48, except on the Best of CD (JCI/Telstar 3515) where the song runs 4:14 and contains the comment: (edited).  I'm wondering if this might actually be a DJ edit?  4:48 would probably have been considered a bit long for many Top 40 radio programmers in 1971, so maybe this 4:14 edit on the Best of CD represents a DJ edit not currently accounted for in the database.  Perhaps one of our resident early-'70s DJ experts can lend a hand with this?

	Todd, my promo 45 for this song has the "hit" side on only one side of it. It states "Edited Version", has a listed time of (3:03), but an actual time of (3:08). As a result, I have no evidence that the (4:14) JCI "Best Of" CD version was ever issued with that length in 1971.

	Since posting his helpful response over a year ago, Jim informs me that the actual commercial 45 run time of the Dells' "The Love We Had (Stays on My Mind)" is 4:46. (The printed record label time is 4:48.) Since the database currently only notes the song's DJ 45 run time info, I thought I'd also pass along the commercial 45 run time for the benefit of database subscribers.
