Back when artists released 5 singles from an album in 1989, Bobby had "Don't Be Cruel", "My Prerogative", "Roni", and "Every Little Step". Then, "On Our Own" from the Ghostbusters II soundtrack. And then a 5th single from Don't Be Cruel, "Rock Wit'cha". Those were the days...

The 45 is an an easy edit from the LP version. Here are instructions for creating the 45 edit, based on Don't Be Cruel LP version (running time 4:48):

Keep 0:00.0-2:59.0 of the LP version.
Edit on snare hit before the line "all night long".
Remove 32 beats from 2:59.0-3:23.7.
Keep 3:23.7-4:49.5 (end) of the the LP version.

With edit, 45 version comes out to running time of 4:23.

The actual commercial 45 run time of "Rock Wit'cha" is 4:21. (Timing info compliments of abagon. The printed record label time is 4:20.) I present this info because the lone "45 version" CD appearance of this song in the database only runs 4:17.

Here's the promo CD info:

MCA (CD45-17967)
1. (4:20 listed; 4:22 actual)
2. (4:47 listed & actual)
3. (5:36 listed & actual)

No versions are listed for any of the three tracks, and they all sound like the same mix--just different edits/lengths.
