My promo CD single (PRO-CD-3677) has the following:

1-(LP Version) (listed 3:30; actual 3:31)
2-(7" Remix) (listed 3:37; actual 3:38)
3-(Velvet Rail Mix) (listed 7:30; actual 7:40)
4-(Sweet N' Low Mix) (listed 5:40; actual 5:36)

But because Cut 2 specified (7" Remix), I checked the only 45 I have for it, a commercial copy. It clearly states (LP Version) right on the label, has a listed time of (3:30) and an actual time of (3:29). (Perhaps they sped it up a second or two for the vinyl, who knows?) Regardless, I truly have NO idea what "7 inch" that Cut 2 of my promo CD single, the "7" Remix", comes from. I can only say it's not anywhere on the one I own!

Is that a cover/remake of the Jackson Five tune?

No it isn't.
It was their only chart success after leaving Arista for Reprise records.
There were only two members of the group at that time.
Joe Leeway had left the band in 1986.
the way it was heard on the radio

As a supplement to Jim's promo CD single info, which has been dutifully noted in the database, I thought I'd pass along that commercial 45 copies of the Thompson Twins' "Sugar Daddy" run 3:29. (Timing info compliments of abagon. The record label states "LP Version" with a printed time of 3:30.)
