I thought I would float a different type of topic to try and get some feedback -- what pop soundtracks (from the 60s, 70s and 80s) that have never been released on cd would you like to see released on cd?

I've never been a real big fan of soundtrack albums myself. Especially pre-"Saturday Night Fever" they seemed to have one or two good songs, and a lot of filler and/or cheezy instrumentals.

I would like to see all the original "Planet of the Apes" series soundtracks released on CD. I believe only the original has been.

Others I would like re-released, that are out of print:

Superman II
The Black Hole (on iTunes, but OOP on CD)
Music of the 1984 Games (released on CD briefly in Japan in 1985 -- goes for over $200 on Ebay)

Just last week I did a vinyl transfer of "The Idolmaker" soundtrack from 1980. To the best of my knowledge it's never been on C.D., although I could have paid around $35 for someone else's transfer.

"Inside Moves - Music From the Motion Picture Sound Track" (Full Moon/Warner Bros. FMH 3506)
"The King Of Comedy - Original Sound Track" (Warner Bros. 9 23765-1)
"National Lampoon's Vacation - Original Motion Picture Sound Track" (Warner Bros. 9 23909-1)

Yeah, I'd like that one, too, as it has the never-on-CD Elton John B-side "Take Me Down to the Ocean."

Arthur STK was released in Japan in the 80s but I guess it has been out of print for many years.

First time release or reissued since I never got my hands on the originals:

DC Cab
Sixteen Candles (but a complete soundtrack instead of an EP)
The Pirate Movie
Tuff Turf
Golden Child
Body Rock
Foxes
A Night in Heaven
Karate Kid II
Just One of the Guys
Superman 3
