My commercial 45, which is mono, and confirmed as Dunhill/ABC 4182, has a listed time of (3:40), but an actual time of (3:37).

the version on 16 greatest hits runs long at 3:39....you'll
need to fade of the last 0:02 of the song to effectively match the vinyl 45 version which runs 3:37... |

There is currently no notation in the database, but "LP version" probably
needs to be added to all stereo copies. There is heavy reverb on the percussion section (approx. 2:01 to 3:10) of the stereo version that is missing on the mono version. |

Here's what I think I hear in the percussion section:
All instruments and shouting/whistling/singing are on both versions. However, the mix is different. What the mixer did was choose certain hand claps on which to turn the reverb WAY up. Different handclaps were chosen on each mix so they don't match. The boosted reverb is easier to hear on the stereo version because it's in the center of the mix, but if you listen to the mono mix you can hear boosts there too, just not on the same claps. |

I agree with Bill about the different handclaps where the reverb is turned way up. The word "missing" was a bad choice of words on my part. There is reverb on the mono version, but it's dialed down quite a bit comparatively. To me, that whole section (not just the selected handclaps) is swimming in reverb on the stereo version, while it sounds drier on the mono version.
