my commercial 45 of the van halen song "i'll wait" issued as warner 29307 states a run time on the label as 4:10 but actually runs 4:11...this 45 run time info s/b added to the db...

On the 45, most the first synthesizer riff is edited out; the edit starts about .5 seconds in and omits about 8.3 seconds so that it picks up when the synthesizer riff is repeated an octave higher. However, on the LP version, there is a prominent cymbal crescendo that is present where the edit point ends. This cymbal has been mixed out of the 45 version. There's really no way to edit the LP to create the 45 version due to this mix difference. To my knowledge, the 45 version has never been issued on CD. |

guys....the cd single i have is the backtrax cd single issued as warner 2-489 with the below tracks
1-jump (album version) 2-i'll wait (edit) the only issue i found was that this cd single version of "i'll wait" had the left and right channels reversed which aaron was kind enough to correct......so that's the story jerry!!!
