Though not noted in the database, I believe the version of Diana King's "I Say A Little Prayer" that runs 3:26 is actually a dance remix. Now, my question, what's on the promo CD single and what did radio play in 1997?

The actual name of the remix is the Love To Infinity's Classic Radio Mix.

No radio stations in the NY metropolitan area played the original mix. They all played the Love to Infinity edit.

To answer your first question, we first got a promo CD with only the original, midtempo version. We got the dance remixes later - I know we got the 12" single but don't recall whether we got remixes on CD.

I only have a UPC-symbol-hole-punched-out commercial CD single for this that was sent to the station, and here are the details:
Diana King-"I Say A Little Prayer" (42K 78597) 1-LP Version (listed 3:35; actual 3:34) 2-Love To Infinity Classic Radio Mix (listed 3:28; actual 3:27) 3-Love To Infinity's Vortex Voyager Mix (listed & actual 8:35) 4-Keith Andes Remix (listed 3:58; actual 3:54) 5-Love To Infinity's Love Groove (listed 3:31; actual 3:34) Edited by jimct |

I can confirm the above statement concerning the original mix as I heard The Love To Infinity Mix in WKTU's rotation as well as WPLJ during that year. Edited by PopArchivist |
