my commercial cassingle for the michael jackson & janet jackson song "scream" issued as epic 78000 does not state a version or run time on the sleeve or cassingle but is identical to the album version listed below

(S)      (4:38)      Epic 59000 Michael Jackson - History: Past, Present And Future (LP version)

in addition i have a promo cd single for the song issued as epic esk 78000 with the below tracks

1-scream (single edit) (4:01)
2-childhood (4:28)
3-scream (4:38)

this promo cd single should be added to the db.......is it possible the sole other entRy is actually the single edit from the promo cd single

(S)      (4:00)      A&M B0013612 Janet Jackson - Number Ones (neither the 45 nor LP version)

Ed, it was discussed in the "Janet Number Ones" thread that this is a newly edited version that doesn't match the promo CD version.

Ed, does your cassingle contain the line, "Stop f*ckin' with me" at 2:51, or does it say "Stop pressurin' me"? Because if the F-word is not on the cassingle (which I thought it wasn't), then there is more than one pressing of "HisTory," as mine contains the F-word at 2:51.

brian...i just listened to the song again and at the 2:51, and through-out the song for that matter, the versus are "stop pressuring me".....there are NO "stop f*ckin with me" lyrics at all.......i may have made a slight error in my original post......the version i have, in addition to the promo cd single (epic esk 78000), is the commercial single (epic 34 78000) as my point of reference....i DO NOT own the history cd.....sorry for the confusion...the commercial cd single has the same tracks and versions as the cassingle....

Regarding Michael Jackson & Janet Jackson's "Scream", the database currently states: "dj copies of this cd single run (4:01) the 'single edit'". Ed mentioned there is another version on the promo CD single that runs 4:38 (no track description is listed). Ed, am I correct in assuming this is identical to the single version which is censored?

the 4:38 version as track 3 on the promo cd single epic
78000 actually lists the version as the 'naughty edit' when
put into itunes.....it does contain the lyric 'stop fu**ing
with me' at the 2:53 mark.....the cassingle does not
contain that lyric at the 2:53 mark...
