   While listening to this song on an import ChartBusters Vol. 1, I noticed extra drum beats on the introduction that are not the same as the version on Rock 'N' Roll Era - 1964  . Granted this is an import and wouldn't be listed in the DB, but it made me wonder if those that are listed might be a smattering of both versions. I only have the T/L to check against.

	As far as domestic CDs go, I have Ronny & the Daytona's "G.T.O." on Billboard Top Pop Hits, 1964 (Rhino 71585) and The Warmth Of The Sun: Songs Inspired By The Beach Boys (Varese Sarabande 302066117). I compared the song's intro from both discs to the Chartbusters Vol. 1 UK import (Ace 722) CD and the intro is identical on all three. Perhaps the Rock 'n' Roll Era - 1964 CD might have a clipped intro due to a mastering error? For the record, the sound quality of "G.T.O." on the Chartbusters CD is far superior to the aforementioned domestic releases. This may have been a case where the Ace label was able to locate a lower generation master tape somewhere in Europe.

	The original master tape of GTO suffered water damage. Sundazed's Bob Irwin was able to restore the tape albeit with minor dropouts. My Arista/Flashback 45 reissue is in Mono and from original Amy/Mala stampers. And sounds very excellent.
