I have obtained an official Columbia promo CD-R dated July 24, 1998. It has the following:
1. Album Version (5:28 actual) 2. Radio Edit (4:59 actual) What's notable about this CD-R is that it contains a slightly different mix from the versions later released on CSK 41999, which isn't as "hot" sounding. For instance, the fuzz guitar in the right channel between the first two verses is more subdued, and the vocal has a LOT less compression on it (far less punchy). Listening on Spotify, it appears the version on Soul's Core has the mix found on this CD-R. While the factory-pressed promo also has the "Album Version," it is actually the remixed, hotter version--just in the album length. Edited by aaronk |
