Another one for the experts. In comparing what's listed as 45 length vs. what's listed as LP length, the sax at :07 sounds different and a bit drier on the LP length. Haven't compared the rest of the song.
Is the song mixed differently? Is this a version difference? Do we have different takes? |

Answered my own question. Though it's not indicated in the database, some of the LP length listings have a combination of English/Spanish lyrics. That's where the sax sounds different at :07 in. Smokey begins singing in English, and at some point, sings lyrics in Spanish.
Mystery solved. |
