Thanks for posting this, Brian. First, I work at Emory University, although I don't know the student who is interviewed to start off the story. The students I work with do mostly stream music instead of buying it. As someone in the story noted, I love the tangible objects of music - in the old days, the look of vinyl, the designs of the different labels, the album cover art. I still buy some CDs because I love the liner notes and the artwork. That said, being able to buy random songs from Amazon or iTunes has been amazing. I never thought I'd have such a high percentage of past top 40 hits.
