This is probably a shot in the dark, but I do an online oldies show and I try and use the original 45 versions. I try to be as accurate as possible, but I don't have the expertise of most people here. Would anybody happen to have a list of chart singles from the mid 1950s to early 70's that are simply fold downs of their stereo counterparts? Thanks!

This has been on many of our wish lists for a long time, and I know it has
been brought up before. I would also love to have such a list. Unfortunately, there's really no way to know if it's a fold-down without doing a fold-down of the stereo and then comparing it note-for-note with the actual 45. Obviously this would be a massive undertaking. Perhaps, instead, we could start the list here in this thread with those we have already confirmed to be fold-downs. Over time, if we keep it updated, I'm sure we could come up with a fairly comprehensive list. |
