Pat,

I noticed in the database that you list this song as mono
on the Eric cd... it is actually in true stereo.

Sony provided us the original multi-track tapes from the
session.

The opening intro might fool you, though. The center
track only contains his lead vocal and the acoustic
guitar, but at :13 seconds the drum track comes in on the
left side, followed by the orchestra, and then the
backing singers come in on the right side.

I'm also very pleased to add that the song's original
producer, John Flores, was very happy with this new
stereo mix. I was proud of that because it's rare to get
direct feedback for the "creator". :-)

One of my favorite tracks on that Eric Records disc. I
would have liked to have seen the group's follow up single
"After The Feeling Is Gone" also on that CD (I believe Lulu
recorded the same song as well).

My commercial 45, confirmed as T-A 202, is mono, with deadwax of "BELL
9629", has a listed time of (2:25); but an actual time of (2:29).

Mark, it is SO great to finally own this song on a great sounding CD, thanks
to you and Eric Records! :)

Jim, do you mean a listed time of (2:25) and an actual time of (2:29)???

Many thanks, Paul. Of course I did. (I only wish I had that young Paul Haney
brain, instead of my old, "Model T Ford" Version!) :)    I will go back and
update my earlier post.
