My promo copy of this also has a listed time of 4:11, but
ISTR playing a shorter version back in '81. No edits, just an earlier fade. Does anyone have this short promo? |

The listed time on the Arista 45 is not accurate. "Time" actually runs 4:25 (per the online database info). The early fade does appear on CD (on the OOP Rhino '80s Pop Culture Box released in 2002).

Steve, the only "Time" US promo 45 I have even owned and/or seen is the mono/stereo listed (4:11); actual (4:25) version. Additional on-line research done by me tonight also failed to turn up any shorter promo 45 info at all. In-house fade perhaps done/carted up by your station's MD? Edited by jimct |
