On my DJ 45, both sides show listed times of (4:04). The stereo side is actually the (4:15) stock 45/LP version. But the mono side actually does run (4:04), and horribly "fades in" the other version, starting from the :11 second mark, with no other differences - one of the worst train-wrecks, not involving a splice, that I've EVER heard - up there with the brutal fades on "Poor Side Of Town" and "You've Got Your Troubles". Probably explains why I never heard this "Sailing" short version on the radio.

Pat:
The database currently (and correctly) states: (dj copies of this 45 run (4:04) on the mono side but (4:15) on the stereo side even though the record label states (4:04)). It might be helpful to add that commercial copies all run 4:15. |
