my commercial 45 for the four preps song 'down by the
station' issued as capitol 4312 lists the run time on the
label as 2:39 and does indeed run that length.....if you
fade the 'collectors choice' cd for 0:12 from 2:27 to 2:39
you can effectively re-create the vinyl 45
version......this 45 run time s/b added to the db....thank
jeff for providing the raw files for my review....THANKS!!

Ed, the database does not currently list any Collectors Choice CDs with this song. Are you perhaps referring to the Capitol Collector's Series CD? If so, does the 45 have the countoff, as it does on this CD?

Paul, I own both a promo and a stock 45 for this song. My promo 45 is much
easier for me to access, at the moment, so that's what I just pulled. It is
confirmed as Capitol 4312, has no countoff at the start, and has a listed time
of (2:39) and an actual time of (2:37). Deadwax info is a handwritten
"32610-D1".

paul......i rec'd the four prep files from jeff and i
thought he said they where from the collector's choice cd
but it could actually be from the capitol collectors
series....either way, if you edit the count-off and do the
fade you can effectively re-create the proper vinyl 45
version.....
