Just missed the Top 40 and peaked at #41, anyone able to recreate the 45
version with the album or 12" version?

45 runs 3:27

Album runs 5:16

12" runs 7:36

There's also a short edit around 2:38 or so that seemed to make its way on
international 45s. I was trying to compare different versions (starting with
YouTube) but getting a little perplexed as I couldn't tell if some were
running a little fast or I missed an edit come in.

Any insight on this one?

According to my notes, the 45 version running 3:24 was
released on Dance Classics, first release in 1988.

Thanks! This just sent me down a rabbit hole of other CD options. Ended up
grabbing this one: https://www.discogs.com/release/15339695-Various-
Salsoul-Disco-1975-1979

It also has some other 45 versions I forgot I needed, and a shorter version of
Loleatta Holloway's "Hit and Run" (though it runs a little longer than the 45).

Will have to see what this CD is like!

Please report back on the quality of the tracks.
