According to the database, cassette single copies of Ce Ce Peniston's "I'm in the Mood" contains the East 87th Street Mix and runs 4:11. On the I-Tunes paid music download site, the song is specifically identified on the Best of: 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection CD (A&M 069490876) as being the East 87th Street Mix. However, my experience with I-Tunes is that they frequently list inaccurate track descriptions.

Can anyone verify if the East 87th Street Mix of "I'm in the Mood" differs from the CD/LP version? If yes, does this mix truly appear on the 20th Century Masters CD? If yes again, then database entries for "I'm in the Mood" will need to be updated to reflect 45/LP version distinctions.

my maxi single includes the East 87th St. mix (remixed by Steve Silk Hurley) and the "original mix". Surprisingly, the Hurley mix isn't a house mix, but it runs 4:11 and begins with a piano riff and CeCe's vocal. The orignal mix runs 4:08 and begins with a rhythm track. There's also a long David Morales "Bad Yard Club" house mix running 7:24.

The cd version as found on the "Thought 'Ya Knew" cd is clearly identified as the "East 87th Street mix" on the cd jacket. The "Best Of: 20th Century Masters" cd is identical as is the version found on "Radio Waves Of The '90s". Ed has already reported that the cassette single is also the "East 87th Street mix" so there is no difference to report between the cassette single and the LP.

Thanks for the verification, Pat. So to help avoid confusion, perhaps the database should note that the cassette single version and the CD/LP version of "I'm in the Mood" state "East 87th Street Mix".
