For those of you that are subscribers to the database, I just wanted to let you know that I have added many additional titles from 1955 through 1957 that showed up primarily on the "pop" charts of the day. If you were doing statistics on the percentage of titles from the 50's that are not on cd, you may wish to revisit this issue.

Thanks for the update, Pat. I have indeed noticed that more '50s titles have surfaced in the database, which is most welcome to those of us looking to complete our collections of songs from that era on CD.
At some point in the not-to-distant future, I plan to begin working on some information that can be added to the database regarding Top 40 hits from 2000 to the present. Not much has been discussed on this board regarding hits of the past six or seven years (I realize this era of music is not particularly a favorite with many on the message board), but there are some single/album version/length distinctions worthy of mention. I'm slammed as always these days at work, but I'll be plugging away at music stuff whenever time permits. |
