Icehouse - No Promises

   Not a chart topper (Peak 79) but a precursor for their hits 

two years later. Does anyone know if the single version of 

Icehouse "No Promises" on the 2013 "The Best Of" is the US 

promo 45 version? On Discogs I see UK 45 vinyl entries with 

a track duration of 3:59 which matches whats on the "best 

of" cd.   The US promo 45 lists a track duration of 3:33. I 

was curious if the US promo 45 is different than the UK 

edit or just another case of an incorrect track duration on 

the label?

	I have a raw 45 dub on my hard drive that runs 3:34 but the file cuts off so I think it actually runs longer. On Qobuz, there is a version that runs 3:41 on the Modern Girls soundtrack. Would that be the 45/promo version?

	That's entirely possible. It wouldn't be the first time a label's track duration is incorrect. If you got the dub from someone in the forum, maybe they can shed some light on the listed vs actual time.

	I have the version edited for the Modern Girls soundtrack and the best of cd by Icehouse from 2013 and without making a close comparison to the UK 45 single 4:00, the version included on the soundtrack is a early fade, running at 3:40, perhaps matching US 45 version at 3:33, perhaps mislabeled by record label.
