There's a comment on a YouTube post of the (promo) 45 of Bee Gees' "How Deep Is Your Love" where someone says "Prefer the album version where on the 2nd La La's, the boys hold a longer note before Barry's falsetto."
I've compared the Saturday Night Fever MFSL CD album version with the YouTube clip and can't hear any difference, nor is it even clear to me where exactly the difference is supposed to be. As far as I can tell, the 45 is just an early fade of the album version. Is there a difference I'm missing? |

Never mind. I figured it out.
At 2:15, the song has "da da da, da da" vocalizations repeating the melody of the verses. The album version has a similar part at 3:34, but just the first 5 notes, and they hold the last one: "da da da, da daaaaaa". The falsetto comes in over this. The 45 fades out right before this part. |
