   Although I don't have the single, I do have the single version on Hitmakers Vol. 27, 9/29/89.

The Hitmakers version runs (3:52), and is an early fade of the (5:02) album version from the Batman soundtrack.

The fade is a 32-beat fade from 3:21.9 to 3:51.5, using the timings on the Batman CD.  There aren't any convenient reference points in the song, except that the end of the 32-beat fade falls at a downbeat in the middle of the first syllable in the word "drowning".
