The actual commercial 45 run time of Wilson Pickett's "Don't Let the Green Grass Fool You" is 2:45. (Timing info compliments of Jim. The printed record label time is 2:46.) The only reason I post this is because database CDs run from 2:42-2:47.

Interestingly, promo copies of most of his early 70s hits were mono/mono unlike most other Atlantic 45s of the era which were mono/stereo.

There was also a stereo/stereo DJ 45 on "Don't Let The Green Grass Fool You". Label time 2:46 run time 2:46.
So Atlantic would sometimes send out a mono/mono and a stereo/stereo. However my DJ copy of "Don't Knock My Love Part One" is mono/stereo. So it wasn't consistent. Edited by Bill Cahill |
