Just a quick question........The Database lists the Glass Houses version as the DJ 45 edit. Does that mean that the commercial copies and the DJ copies were completely different takes of the song?

To my knowledge, the only difference between the promo 45 version and the stock 45 version is that the promo fades early. In another thread, Pat posted:
I have looked into this matter a little further and come to the following conclusion--the commercial 45 and the dj 45 have the same phone number intro as what now appears on the cd "Glass Houses" but when I compare against the vinyl LP, the vinyl LP has a different phone number! Here's another twist that I might not have brought up on the board: the CD version and my 12" promo (which is the same as the 45) have very slight mix differences. The differences are probably too small to call for notation differences in the database, though. I'll have to see if I can dig up the info. I might have it in an old email. Edited by aaronk |
